How is ADHD in Children Treated?

After proper evaluation and diagnosis, we consult with the parents and patient and discuss the different treatment options. ADHD treatment options can vary between therapies, vitamin supplements, medication and Neurofeedback therapy. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends Neurofeedback therapy as a first-line treatment for ADHD. Neurofeedback therapy is a computer-based program that asses the patient’s brainwave activity and retrains the brain waves to increase their processing speed which in turn increases their attention.
